Left Deer Lake in the rain and drove through more, with fog, frozen lakes, rough roads and finally Port Aux Basques. The ferry was deserted - just 26 passengers. I had one deck all to myself! Lovely staff and even a special treat to be on the bridge talking to Capt. Carter. Weather improved to sunshine and very calm seas. Arrived Nova Scotia at 6pm and did another 150 miles or so to New Glasgow. I have a big day of driving tomorrow and it’s the last night I’ve had booked for some time.
